Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the Maika app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Description of Service
Maika is a women's health and cycle tracking application that provides cycle logging, personalised health content, AI-powered chat, and health insights.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Maika. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Account Responsibility
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
Maika+ Subscription
Maika offers a premium subscription ("Maika+") that unlocks the AI chat feature and additional content.
- Maika+ is billed monthly or annually through the Apple App Store or Google Play
- Payment is charged to your App Store / Google Play account at purchase confirmation
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store / Play Store account settings
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by law
- New users receive a free trial period as described in the app at time of registration
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Submit false or misleading information
Medical Disclaimer
Maika is not a medical device. The app and its AI assistant provide general wellness information only. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.
Maika is not intended or approved for use as a contraceptive method. Cycle predictions are estimates and should not be relied upon for family planning decisions.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Maika — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Maika is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that cycle predictions will be accurate for your individual circumstances.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
